Hand, Foot & Mouth Diseases (HFMD)

Dear Parents,

In view of the increase cases of Hand, Foot & Mouth Diseases (HFMD) reported recently, we would like to request everybody to participate in taking the following precautionary measures:

 

Berries

•  Compulsory for all students to sanitize their hands

•  Temperature checks on pre-school students

•  Checks on pre-school students' palms & feet for rashes before lessons begin

•  Students detected with fever or showing symptoms of HFMD will be isolated and parents will be contacted to sent their child home immediately

 

Parents

•  Temperature to be taken before sending child to school

•  Send child 10 minutes earlier to Berries and pick child up on time after his/her lesson

•  Inform Berries if your child is diagnosed with HFMD or showed any related symptoms

•  Keep Berries updated on contact numbers and home address

 

Children

•  Wash hands with soap before and after meals

•  Wash hands after going to the toilet

•  Cover mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing

We seek for your understanding and cooperation during this period in order to maintain our hygiene standards to avoid HFMD. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.

In view of this current situation should a student be infected with HFMD, the parents can claim a Berries Medical Voucher . Parents will have to inform the school and provide necessary medical certification by the doctors to claim the vouchers from us.
